“What time do you call this?” Harry asked, when Severus finally arrived.

“And who made you my father?” Snape replied.

Harry merely grunted, so Severus added, “I did tell you I was going to be late.”

“But not this late.”

Severus sighed.  “It wasn’t as if I was enjoying myself.  Windibag can waffle until the cows have come home and gone out again.  You can check with Grainger, or better still with Weasley who’s no doubt giving her the same third degree as we speak.”

“Yeah, I’m sorry.  I’ve missed you.”

“Ten minutes and I’ll prove I missed you too.”
