“It’s a question of balance, Harry,” Severus shouted from the far side of the river.  “But it’s not a decision I can make for you.”

“There are so many different options to take into consideration, and only a very limited time to do so.”

“It seems easy enough to me.  Either you have confidence you can walk across the rope bridge, keeping your balance as I did, because if not you fall in and get wet.  Or you take the long way round to the wooden bridge, by which time it will be raining and you get wet that way.”
